We at Espronceda are very happy to present for the third year the new theatre work Big Bang. The cooperation with the Catalan artist and theatre director Albert Mestres began three years ago with his idea to bring theatre into a contemporary art space to dialogue with visual art, performance and food. The artistic research has been realized in cooperation with the Italian artist Savina Tarsitano, connecting the audience with the world of visual art and theatre, and vice versa.
The project seeks to investigate the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to the arts and the dialogue between artists and the public. This innovative project also aims to highlight the indirect participation of the audience and the centrality of food in the creative process as an incubator of emotions and attractions, where the public is also invited to interact. It is an innovative project that over the last three years has demonstrated the necessity of building a bridge between the public and different artistic languages.
The project has also been presented in the theatre, where the public encountered the world of visual arts; in that case, contemporary art was brought to the theatre. For the first time, the new theatre work Big Bang will be presented at Espronceda — a show that is not only theatrical and artistic, but also gastronomic.
