Naturetales Live returns to Barcelona this September with an immersive family adventure.
Following the success of its first edition in April, the Muñoz Ramonet Gardens will once again be transformed into a magical setting where nature, theatre and technology come together. A free interactive adventure where play and storytelling inspire children to connect with nature and develop environmental awareness.
ESPRONCEDA – Institute of Art & Culture announces the return of Naturetales Live to Barcelona on 19 and 20 September. This completely free immersive and interactive experience is designed for families with children aged 4 to 10 and returns following its first edition in April as a special family activity to welcome the beginning of the new school year.The emblematic gardens of the Fundació Julio Muñoz Ramonet will once again become a living stage where nature, technology, theatre and storytelling come together, offering children a different way to learn, play and connect with their surroundings.
A magical immersive adventure in nature
Through the Naturetales mobile app, participants embark on an interactive journey in which nature becomes the setting for a fantastic story. Following Alva in the Land of Shadows, families will enter a world inhabited by witches and mythical creatures, solving riddles and overcoming challenges designed to encourage environmental awareness through play and participation.
Over the course of approximately 40 to 60 minutes, children and adults become the protagonists of an adventure combining scenography, music, storytelling and digital elements. The experience includes more than eight interactive stations where play, learning and exploration come together naturally.
Play, culture and sustainability
Naturetales Live introduces families to new ways of learning through digital storytelling and direct interaction with the natural environment. Inspired by Nordic mythology, the experience offers an innovative approach to sustainability by connecting emotion, knowledge, imagination and environmental awareness.
Beyond the live event, Naturetales offers five permanent interactive routes across Barcelona, including locations such as Parc de la Ciutadella and Laberint d’Horta, inviting families to discover the city through stories, play and exploration.
A European initiative
Naturetales Live is part of the European initiative Playstories, co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme. The project explores new approaches to learning through digital storytelling in public spaces, connecting culture, technology and environmental education. As the project’s lead partner in Spain, ESPRONCEDA – Institute of Art & Culture supports its implementation in Barcelona, bringing innovative cultural experiences to new audiences and encouraging a more conscious relationship between childhood, culture, technology and nature.
Practical information
Free admission with prior registration. Places are limited, so advance registration is recommended:
Duration: approximately 40–60 minutes.
Who is it for? Families with children aged 4 to 10. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
A souvenir from the adventure: every participating child will receive an amulet and a compass as a gift after completing the experience. One gift per chid.
What you need: please bring a smartphone with the Naturetales app installed and enough battery to complete the experience.
