Interactive Sound Installation by Bastien Bron (My Name is Fuzzy)
ESPRONCEDA – Institute of Art & Culture presents The Fuzzy Show, an immersive experience centred on Samples, the new interactive sound installation by Swiss artist Bastien Bron, internationally known as My Name is Fuzzy. The exhibition can be visited on June 18, 19 and 20, with the artist present in the exhibition space throughout the programme, accompanying and activating the work alongside the public.
An Installation That Transforms Space into a Collective Instrument
Samples is an interactive musical installation composed of large mixed-media panels, colourful and pop in aesthetic, that visually represent different waveforms of sound samples. As visitors approach and interact with the panels, they activate sounds and generate constantly evolving musical compositions, turning the exhibition space into a vast collective interface for sound creation.
The work is rooted in a deeply participatory logic: the audience does not occupy the role of passive spectator, but becomes performer, collaborator and generator of the experience. Through movement, proximity and interaction between visitors, the installation continually evolves, producing shifting atmospheres that can range from ambient to playful, strange or dance-inducing.
In contrast to digital immersive experiences based on screens and individual interfaces, Samples proposes a form of “analogue augmented reality”, where no visible technology exists and the human body itself acts as the primary interface. The work comes alive only through physical presence and collective participation.
Through humour, play and shared activation, Samples raises questions about authorship, musical experience and contemporary forms of cultural participation in an era shaped by passive digital consumption.
Artist Talk
As part of the programme, an open conversation with Bastien Bron (My Name is Fuzzy) will take place on Thursday, June 19, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The talk will focus on the creative process behind Samples, his interdisciplinary practice and the role of the audience within contemporary artistic experiences. The event has limited capacity. Prior registration is required.
About the Artist – Bastien Bron / My Name is Fuzzy
Bastien Bron (1984), known artistically as My Name is Fuzzy, is a self-taught Swiss interdisciplinary artist recognised for his innovative fusion of visual art, music, performance and interactive technologies.
His work explores new ways of presenting pop music outside traditional formats, creating participatory, accessible and humorous experiences that blur the boundaries between contemporary art and popular culture. His projects have been presented internationally at institutions and festivals such as Ars Electronica, HEK Basel, Musée de l’Elysée and KIKK Festival, among other European venues dedicated to art, music and digital culture.
About NUBIA Labs
The Fuzzy Show is presented within the framework of NUBIA Labs 2026, ESPRONCEDA’s professional incubation and support programme dedicated to digital art and spatial computing projects, including XR technologies (AR/VR/MR), creative artificial intelligence, real-time interactive installations and immersive environments.
In its fourth edition, under the theme Spatial Computing and the Transversal Power of Digital Art, the programme drives projects at the intersection of art, technology and participation. Samples fully embodies this vision by transforming the human body into an interface and placing collective experience at the heart of the work.
