ARTIST STATEMENT

In my photographic works, the focus is on the human being. Captured in its microcosm on free, revealed terrain. My portraits and scene compositions go beyond the mere depiction, delve beneath the surface, revealing hidden layers in a surprising yet always sensitive manner, and emphasize the uniqueness of each individual. With empathy, I aim to capture the intimate moments of vulnerability when people drop their masks. The series „Flashback Paradise“ depicts people at the beach, unveiling their intricacies
and unapproachabilities, their desires, and values. People act free from constraints, detached and light, on a stage of sand, in the spotlight of the sun, in a new universe. Each of my scenes establishes a connection between the person and their personal history with
the sensual landscape that surrounds them, prompting the question: What if paradise is less of a place and more about the lightness of being?
