Event description

With 80% of young Europeans getting their news from social media, getting informed seems easier than ever. But is it really? In an era where algorithms reward controversy, outrage, and polarization, the question arises: how do these dynamics affect our elections and the democratic quality of information?
During this online seminar, we will analyze how algorithms influence European electoral processes. We will start with the case of the Romanian presidential elections, where the investigative journalism collective Snoop uncovered a widespread disinformation campaign using an advanced artificial intelligence tool that analyzed thousands of TikTok videos.
Resonance invites us to reflect on how technology is shaping our democracies and what we can do about it.
Join this conversation about Europe’s digital future and make your voice resonate across the continent.
