The International Festival of Sustainable Art of Catalonia celebrates its 25th edition and we are pleased to announce our collaboration with Drap-art in this project with a very special program within the field of sustainable art, with pioneers of contemporary art and leading figures of urban art, apart from a great selection of contemporary artists and emerging projects.
From November 18 to December 21, 2021 the center of Barcelona will be flooded by shows and exhibitions of pioneering artists of environmental art such as Michelangelo Pistoletto, and will also feature curators Savina Tarsitano and Saverio Teruzzi for Rebirth Day, co-organized with Cittadellarte – Pistoletto Foundation.
A cultural tour through the Gòtic neighborhood of Barcelona with exhibitions of urban and contemporary artworks, shows the infinite possibilities of creative recycling and the use of objets trouvés to reflect on the relationship between art and sustainability and the potential of art as a tool for social transformation.
Drap-Art has grown and enriched thanks to the participation of Fousion Gallery, the Real Círculo Artístico, Villa del Arte Galleries, the Centro de Artesanía de Cataluña and Sala Peligro, as well as the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona. It is encouraging to see the large number of artists, collectives and organizations that Drap-Art brings together around the world and points us to a new path.
