ESPRONCEDA Institute of Art & Culture is proud to co-organize the event From Fragility to Flight: Creativity and Resilience in Exile, a necessary dialogue on the role of creativity and resilience in situations of exile.

This event is part of the MONDIACULT 2025 Conference, the World Conference on Cultural Policies convened by UNESCO, and is part of Palosanto’s Nodes program, which seeks to open spaces for critical and inclusive reflection on the transformative role of culture in contemporary society.

This event is part of the NEB & Inclusio 2025 program, Espronceda’s annual program inspired by the New European Bauhaus, which fosters new perspectives on sustainability, social justice, and cultural innovation.

The event will feature Palestinian artist Marwa Abu Raida, originally from Gaza and currently in exile, hosted in Barcelona by Artists at Risk. Through her personal and artistic testimony, she will share her experience marked by fragility and threats, but also by resilience and creative strength.

The conversation is part of the “Cultural policies under discussion” theme of the Nodes program and will address how cultural policies can and should act to protect artistic freedom and guarantee the safety of creators in vulnerable contexts.

At ESPRONCEDA, we believe these reflections are essential for paving the way for inclusion and diversity, and therefore we invite the cultural community and the general public to join this important discussion in Barcelona.
