Gilles DUSABE is a Rwandan, French and Swiss artist who lives and works between Geneva (Switzerland) and Kigali (Rwanda).
Trained at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland, the CCA Kitakyushu in Japan and the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, Gilles DUSABE has always varied his materials and forms of expression according to his inspiration.
For each work, he chooses the most appropriate medium to best express his thoughts and concepts in order to convey his experiences.
Over time, his work has moved from photography to video, sculpture to painting and installation, always with the desire to question our times.
For some years now, his art has been expressing his fascination with the ‘dot’. Drawn, painted, glued, punched or sculpted, these points become the link between us all, a metaphor for the beginning and the end, the visible and the invisible, the infinitely small and the infinitely large, the universe…
