Swaeny Nina is a PhD candidate, grant holder and member of the Global Literary Studies Lab at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) and works as an independent artist. With a background in graphic design (GLR), conceptual art (ArtEZ) in the Netherlands, and a Master’s in Art and Visual Culture (UoW) in London, England, Swaeny Nina’s praxis is influenced by counter-theory, self-(re)presentation, tokens, digital identity, play and fiction. She exhibited internationally. Her latest large-scale interdisciplinary project is called “Proxy, This Is Not A Performance” (July 2022 – November 2023). Swaeny Nina lives in Barcelona, Spain.
